Vietnam Veterans Memorial:

 

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was made in honor of the fallen veterans of the Vietnam War. The memorial includes the names of over 58,000 servicemen and women who gave their lives in service in the Vietnam. The wall is also accompanied by the "The Servicemen Statue" and Vietnam Women's Memorial. 

Androgyne III:

 

Polish artist Magdalena Abakanowicz frequently features fragmented human figures-faces without skulls, bodies without heads, and torsos without legs-placed singly or in large groupings. This piece is a part of a series called Backs, begun in 1976. The natural movement of the wood creates the look of human skin with the addition of carving out lines for demonstration of veins. 

Pink Panther:

 

Created by Jeff Koons, this piece is a mix of popular culture and mass–market knickknacks. Part of his Banality series, this particular work depicts a woman covering her breast from a fallen garment and clutching the pink panther stuffed animal in the other. 

Guggenheim Mueseum:

 

Located on the upper east side of Manhattan, New York, the Guggenheim Mueseum is an art mueseum displaying Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern and contemporary art. Architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed the building as a "temple of spirit". Nature also provided the mueseum with inspiration.  

Old Man's Cloth:

 

Old Man's Cloth is like large tapestry with several small metal fragments inside. The tapesty was bent and manipulated so that the metal pieces could catch the light. Constructed out of flattened liquor bottles, the bottle caps represented the history of trade between Africa and Europe. Alcohol was one of the goods traded from the europeans to the Africans. The artists, Anatsui, home country is in modern day Ghana. The gold colors represent the countries placement along the gold coast during its days as a british colony. 

The Maxxi Muesuem of the XXI century arts:

 

The Maxxi Muesuem of the XXI century arts is a national muesuem of contemporary art and architecture in Rome, Italy. The project took over 10 years to complete and designer Zaha Hadid was the winner of an international design competition. The buildings structure is composed of several oblong tubes overlapping and contorting around each other resmebling a piece of massive transport infrastructure. 

Kui Hua ZI:

 

Created by Ai Weiwei, this work contains one thousand hand painted porcelain sun flower seeds. The sunflower seeds represent a sustanible way of life by fusing Western and Eastern sensibilities and history.
