Made by Del, the Apocalypto box #2 "The coming of Kukulkan" was inspired by the Maya. The Mayans were obssessed with the night sky and to represent that, the inside of the box is painted to represent the sky. On the top of the box there are four gold luster fired birds to represent the four directions of the compass, north, south, east, and west. Everything the Mayans created was directional. On each side of the box there is an image of Kukulkan, the "plumed serpent" diety of the maya. This diety was also found in other cultures with different titles such as "Quetzalcatl" of the Aztecs.
